Fulfilling My Dharma

So I didn't finish Blogging from A to Z, but I challenged myself and that's what matters. Life has a way of changing your plans. I have successfully signed up for school at The Institute of Healing Arts and am on my way to a degree in Mind Body Psychology.

The odd part was that I was really focused on a Degree in Business, but couldn't seem to get my ducks in a row and now I know why. This was obviously not my destiny or it would not have seemed so daunting.

I have yet to figure out the Universal Laws of the word Dharma, but from my own interpretation, this is my Dharma or purpose in life as Deepak Chopra would say.

To those of you who seem to be struggling with which way to go, ask and it will be shown to you. Don't go against what your body is telling you not to do or the truth will never be revealed.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my triumphs and defeats with you all, and I hope there will be a learning process involved. I never believe that one person has all the answers and the one's who are successful at what they do truly just believed in themselves.

Health and Healing to all,
Namaste

Say YES to a health day

Release stress, achieve an increased feeling of inner peace and self awareness, find clarity. Say YES to a health day! Do only what makes you feel good for one day and it's free.

Choose a day where distractions are low. Like when the kids are in school or your significant other is out of the house. Pre-plan the day before so you will have everything you need. Turn off the phone if you can or set it to vibrate or silent, only checking it occasionally. Only allow yourself one hour of household tasks. Ignore the laundry, it will be there tomorrow. Best if you have to pack lunches or anything for your family to do it the night before.

Your Chakra System and Self Love

Your chakra system is an important part of your self awareness and self healing. Any time your chakra system is out of balance for an extended period of time it can lead to disease. I am very inspired by the book "Intuitive Self-Healing" by Marie Manuchehri, RN.

I have already been able to help myself and others from wisdom's found in this book. I have recommended it to friends and family.

Particularly, my sister called the other day. She expressed that she wasn't feeling well. She had just had an altercation with someone close to her and was feeling bad about it.

I asked her where she hurt, she stated "in her mid-back". I then referred to Marie's book. I determined it was in her 3rd Chakra (also called the solar plexus). According to Marie’s book this area governs the gall bladder, spleen, stomach, liver, pancreas, and small intestines. Emotionally the 3rd Chakra pertains to self-love.

Day 1 of 21 Day Meditation Challenge - The Mind Body Connection

Day 4 for me.

Decided to start at Day 1 Meditation as starting late I felt I missed some of the fundamental tools involved in progressing toward my goal of complete relaxation while meditating. Frustrated about not having adequate peace and solitaire, yet feeling renewed. Pressing on, YEAH, GO DAY 5!!! Intending for silence tomorrow. Namaste

Day 6 of 21-Day Meditation Challenge - Creating Wellbeing though Mantras and Affirmations

Day 3 for me.

Trying to start my day out positive. Seem to be experiencing frustration. Will work harder to let things flow more evenly as my day continues. Tried relaxing to Day 1 Meditation after doing Day 6, but can't seem to calm my mind. Have to let go of distractions... Learning about mantra's, which is a mind tool or vehicle of the mind. Today’s mantra is "saht chit ananda (pronounced saht chit ah-NAN-dah)". Translation saht- truth, freedom from all limitations, chit- total knowledge and spontaneous knowing, ananda- bliss.

On the lighter side of things, Day 6 Meditaion "Creating Wellbeing though Mantras and Affirmations" was a very informative, refreshing meditation. My favorite so far. I enjoyed it tremendously. Will do it again soon without distractions.

Thank you Deepak and friends for this beautiful Meditation Challenge from the Chopra Center .
